Xanh area is more than 3 hectares wide, is the center of Vinh Tuong district town. There is a theory that due to the connection with the Red River, the slap will never dry up. If Xuan Huong Lake is likened to a green pearl of Da Lat, then Vuc Xanh Lake is also named by the locals for its youthful and poetic name, the "Ngoc Xanh" of Vinh Phuc's hometown.

Legend has it that at the end of the 19th century, a large flood from upstream suddenly flooded and broke the dike of the Red River. The fierce flood damaged crops, it flattened houses, tents, etc. and swirled into a deep depression, about 18 acres wide; that place became a large lake with three underground water sources, now known as the Xanh area.

Besides, the name Xanh area is also associated with an ancient legend. The story is that on a beautiful day, in the middle of the lake, three stone statues emerged, the statues drifted to Yen Cat village, people picked them up and worshiped them in the temple. Later, one of the three statues turned into water and flowed into the lake, the lake's water was always blue in four seasons, so it was called the Xanh Zone.

Seeing the potential and current status of the Xanh Area, the locality has renovated and developed tourism and services with the desire to restore and retain the vestiges and relics related to the origin of the Xanh Zone; so that visitors can feel the historical value, cultural value and spiritual value hidden in the blue color of the lake.
